UCLA sophomore forward Seyi Adekoya is one of three finalists for the LA Soccer News menís college player of the year and a contender for the Soccer News Net Menís College Boot, recognizing the national player of the year.

Adekoya, from Seattle, led the Bruins with 12 goals, playing a huge role as the nation's preseason No. 1 overcame a slow start to finish strongly, finishing second in the Pacific 12 Conference -- behind NCAA champion Stanford -- and advancing to the second round of the Division I tournament. Adekoya was a first-team All-Pac 12 and second-team All-Far West Region selection and has 17 goals and five assists in 37 career games for UCLA.

Fan voting accounts for 40 percent toward selection of the Soccer News Net College Boot, and the winner of the popular voting receives the Soccer News Net Supportersí Choice award. Voting for the College Boot is open through Dec. 23.
