OC Blues lose to Los Dos

CARSON, Calif. -- The Orange County Blues rallied late but fell, 2-1, to the LA Galaxy II at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium on Saturday night.

The Blues (6-7-3, 21 points) started strong, playing an effective possession game and creating chances. But Los Dos (7-2-8, 29 points) opened the scoring in the 34th minute as forward Adonis Amaya scored his second goal in as many matches.

Orange County started the second half strong but fell behind by two goals as Jack McBean converted a 78th-minute penalty kick.

The Blues retaliated, forward Trevin Caesar breaking through the back line and shooting past Clement Diop.

For the final minutes, the game opened up as Orange County pushed forward and Blues goalkeeper Josh Cohen snuffed out Galaxy II counterattacks.
