ESPN2, UDN to broadcast US Open Cup final

CHICAGO -- The 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final between the Philadelphia Union and Sporting Kansas City will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and the Univision Deportes Network on Sept. 30.

The Union will host the final at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania and the match will kick off at 7 p.m. ET. Philadelphia and Kansas City fed off home field advantage in their respective semifinals to advance to the final, with the Union defeating the Chicago Fire 1-0 and Sporting KC beating Real Salt Lake 3-1 on Aug. 12.

This will be the first Open Cup Final on an ESPN Network since 1999 and the first on any Univision network.

The Union are seeking their first U.S. Open Cup title, while Sporting KC hopes to regain the championship it last won in 2012. The Kansas City club also claimed the Open Cup crown in 2004 when it was known as the Kansas City Wizards.
